Marc Miró Rubio
A captain in the Merchant Navy with a Seamanship degree and a specialization in celestial navigation, Marc is closely involved in teaching nautical education. In the last 20 years, he has sailed across the North and South Atlantic, as well as across the entire Mediterranean on merchant vessels, sailing yachts and tugboats. On the sporting side, as an ocean sailor he has single-handedly crossed the Atlantic with the Mini-Transat and Mini-Fastnet regattas.
Guillermo Cañardo Cervera
An ER doctor who works for the Medical Emergency System, Guillermo has been head of rescue operations in the Mediterranean for three years with the Open Arms NGO. He has dedicated much of his sports-life to sailing – among other disciplines – and has single-handedly sailed across the Atlantic in two occasions on a 6,5 m sailing boat with the Mini-Transat regatta, as well as across the South Atlantic with a catamaran. He also teaches World Offshore Sailing’s Safety and Survival at Sea course.
